Thank you Sarah! I am currently learning to hand quilt...I've been taught finger and thumb quilting and currently use both, however I seem to be most comfortable quilting just as you described in your tutorial. I'm surrounded by die hard rule followers so it's nice to see someone else bend the rules a little!

I just finished my first hand quilted quilt. I won't tell you how long it took. I really love it. I have started another one and this one should go quicker. I love having something to work on at night. I have not read your tutorial but I am headed that way right now.

Thanks so much for this! I tried it last year, but I didn't know what I was doing and got frustrated. My stitches looked fine from the front, but were all over the place on the back. I'll give it another shot, though. Thanks again!

I just bookmarked your hand-quilting tutorial over at SMS--very well-done! I'll use it to start hand-quilting my second quilt: queen-sized double axe-heads. I was happy to discover your site; you do lovely work.

Love all of your work, especially your quilts. Your hand quilted stitches look great, much better than mine. I am still trying to master the hand quilting.
